- **CAT Simulation Demo**
Simulated a basic CAT using the `catR` package to understand how item banks and selection rules affect accuracy and item usage.

- **Bayesian Movie Ratings Analysis**
Built a Bayesian linear regression model to predict audience movie ratings (audience_score) based on critic reviews, genre, runtime, and other attributes using a cleaned movie dataset (Rotten Tomatoes + IMDb).

Study of Reading Engagement Through PISA 2018 Survey Data in China

- Investigated behavioral and cognitive dimensions of reading engagement using PISA 2018 Student Questionnaire data.
- Applied Item Response Theory (2PL, Graded Response Model) to evaluate item discrimination, difficulty, and efficiency.
- Identified informative items, assessed construct validity, and diagnosed item misfit; produced test information curves and diagnostics in R (ltm, psych).
- Collaborative course-based research project with Kwan Limbhasu.
- Investigated behavioral and cognitive dimensions of reading engagement using PISA 2018 Student Questionnaire data.

Adolescent Girls’ Secondary Education Transition in Lebanon
Co-Author in Learning Education Policy Analysis To Make the World Better: Vol 2, Chapter 13 | 2024
- Collaborated with UNICEF Lebanon on an in-depth analysis of barriers to adolescent girls’ secondary education.
- Evaluated potential interventions including TVET scholarships, Safe Schools initiatives, and gender-responsive budgeting.
- Collaborative policy research project with Elhana Sugiaman, Rola Tarek, Manasi Mehan, and the UNICEF Lebanon team.
- Collaborated with UNICEF Lebanon on an in-depth analysis of barriers to adolescent girls’ secondary education.

- Conducted a Dean of Faculty–sponsored independent study on education governance in the China–Myanmar frontier.
- Examined local power structures, language/ethnic education policies, and regulations around religious schooling.
